Amongst the Trees was an awesome place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Joburg while still being close to all the main attractions. The accommodation itself was lovely with beautiful interiors, comfy beds and a great patio to relax. The pictures were all accurate. John was a great host and made sure everyone was comfortable and took care of anything that came up. I would definitely be back again, thanks John!

We had a wonderful time at Amongst the Trees which is truly an amazing oasis in the center of Johannesburg…easy access to all the JoBurg sites and shopping, yet nestled against the Botanical Gardens in peace, safety and tranquility. John and his wife were wonderful hosts and we felt immediately at home in their beautiful and well-appointed guest house. We look forward to staying with them again and highly recommend it to all heading for a visit to JoBurg!

I was moving to JHB and needed a place to stay for a night with my Mom, sister, myself and my 2 naughty dogs. Such a lovely neighbourhood and John was really welcoming and helpful despite the two crazy dogs after 6 hours in a car. Thanks for having us. Highly recommended.

Amongst the Trees is an imaginative cottage on three levels, which we loved. John and Betina were great hosts and they made sure that we had everything we needed for our 6 day stay.

An amazing place to stay in JHB – beautiful home away from home! John made us feel very welcome, and was very helpful with directions and getting us back on the road due to road closures. Lovely area, and felt very safe in the cottage. Will definitely be our first choice when we head back up to JHB.
